Parades, fireworks, entertainment, attractions and thousands of your closest friends? We’re talking about New Year’s Eve at the theme parks!

Here’s a run-down of New Year’s Eve festivities along with a few Frog Family tips…

Magic Kingdom
ParadeMagic Kingdom is the most popular park and will be the most crowded on New Year’s Eve. If this is your park of choice, arrive early and stay all day since it may reach capacity. Save your viewing spot for parades and stage shows at least an hour in advance. Remember, alcoholic beverages are not served inside Magic Kingdom.

FireworksEpcot is the largest of all Disney parks and can hold the most people. It won’t be as crowded as Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios and it has plenty of places to sit down, eat and relax. For these reasons, Epcot is the Frog Family’s choice for New Year’s Eve. A special version of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks & light show will be even more spectacular than normal.
Park Hours: 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth Fireworks: 7:30 p.m. & 11:40 p.m.

Hollywood Studios
A close runner-up to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios will be very crowded on New Year’s Eve. To ensure a seat in the Fantasmic! Theater, you’ll need to get in line at least 1 ½ hours early. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will still be on display while you wait!
Park Hours: 8 a.m. – Midnight; EMH until 3 a.m.
Block Party Bash Parade: 3 p.m.
Fantasmic!: 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m. & 10 p.m.

“Lights, Camera, Happy New Year” Fireworks: 11:55 p.m.

Animal Kingdom
If you have little ones who won’t be awake when the clock strikes midnight, this is the park for you! Animal Kingdom doesn’t have any special events so it won’t be as crowded as the other parks. The Jingle Jungle Parade kicks off at 3:45 p.m. for one of its last runs before the Jammin’ Jungle Parade returns from its winter break.
Park Hours: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; EMH 7 a.m. – 8 a.m.
