Mardi Gras @ Universal Orlando
It’s Mardi Gras this Saturday night at Universal Studios! Get started in the French Quarter Courtyard as New Orleans musicians Beth McKee & the Sliders sing the blues at 5, 6:30 and 8 p.m. Then head over to Rodeo Drive and get ready to catch some beads during the Mardi Gras parade which kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Finish the night swayin’ to the music as The Beach Boys perform live on the Music Plaza Stage at 9:30 p.m. Universal Studio’s Mardi Gras is included with regular theme park admission.
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival continues this weekend. Juice Newton will perform Friday through Sunday at the America Gardens Theatre as part of the Flower Power Concert Series. Show times are 5:15, 6:30 and 7:45 p.m. Patti Moreno (HGTV.com’s “Garden Girl”) will present “Gardening with Kids: Fun Seed Starting Projects” Friday through Sunday at noon and 3 p.m. in the Festival Center. There are also more than 75 character-themed topiaries throughout the park which make great backdrops for family photos! The festival is included with regular theme park admission.
2011 VEX Robotics World Championship @ ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Top robotics teams from around the world will gather at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this weekend to celebrate their technological accomplishments and compete against the best of the best. It sounds like a fun way to beat the heat! Click here for the event map and schedule.
