On Monday, July 4th at 9 p.m., Magic Kingdom will present a special fireworks spectacular, “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” If you’re celebrating early, the show will also be presented on July 3 at 9 p.m. The Main Street Electrical Parade kicks off at 10 p.m. and midnight on July 3 and 4, so make sure your viewing spot for the fireworks show will also work for the parade. Somewhere on Main Street U.S.A. is our favorite location, but it will be VERY crowded…save your spot early!Epcot
“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” one of the best fireworks shows at Walt Disney World Resort, will be extra special on July 4th. The 14-minute spectacular will be enhanced with “The Heartbeat of Freedom,” an overture of traditional American themes displayed in a pyrotechnic and laser light event. The show begins at 10 p.m. The Frog Family’s favorite viewing spot for IllumiNations is next to the Duffy Bear Gift Shop at the World Showcase Plaza. (Spaceship Earth will be behind you.)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Take a musical road trip across America that will highlight each region’s contribution to rock and roll as Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, Hollywood Studios’ resident landscaping team/rock and roll band, performs during the all-new “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration!” The show, which features fireworks, lighting, special effects and live music, begins at 9:45 p.m. on July 4the. Before or after the show, guests can enjoy Disney’s Fantasmic!, with show times at 9 and 10:30 p.m.
Local band Blue Stone Circle will perform all night on the Music Plaza Stage beginning at 5 p.m. Patriotic character appearances throughout the evening and the Universal360 show at 9 p.m. (which features movie highlights and music from some of Universal Studios’ most popular films) are two other reasons Universal Studios will be a popular choice for July 4th.
SeaWorld will present a special Fourth of July version of its Summer Nights fireworks show, Reflections. The fireworks kick off at 9:45 p.m. over the lake from Bayside Stadium.
Following the popular Summer Nights show Kinetix at 9 p.m. on July 4th, Busch Gardens will treat its guests to a special patriotic fireworks display. If you miss the July 4th display, don’t worry…it will also be shown on July 2nd and 3rd at the same time.
P.S. If you haven’t already, be sure to download Undercover Tourist’s iPhone, Android or Blackberry apps. They come in very handy when the parks are crowded!
And one more thing…all the special events outlined above are included with regular theme park admission.
Wishing you and your family a safe and happy Fourth of July!
