We asked our friends on Facebook to vote for their favorite Disney character out of 10 choices, and big surprise…the winner was Mickey Mouse! So as we announce the results, we’ll give you helpful tips to meet the winners.
Winner: Mickey Mouse
Mickey has Character Greeting locations in all four main parks, but our favorite place to meet him is Backstage with Mickey in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom. (Watch the video.) Here is where you can meet him at the other parks…Epcot: Epcot Character Spot; Hollywood Studios: The Magic of Disney Animation; Animal Kingdom: Camp Minnie-Mickey. We love meeting him so much Lily even wrote a blog about it: So You Want to Meet Mickey, Huh? Tips for Meeting Mickey Mouse.
1st Runner Up: Chip ‘n Dale
Chip ‘n Dale bring double the fun to their Character Greetings. You can find them in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, Innoventions West at Epcot, around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios and Camp Minnie-Mickey at Animal Kingdom. Chip ‘n Dale headline dance parties like the one in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom and star in Character Dining Experiences like The Garden Grill at Epcot. They’re also great for “high-fives” during Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom.
2nd Runner Up: Goofy
Oh, Goofy! Goofy frequently appears with his canine pal, Pluto, but you can have him all to yourself at several locations in the parks. Meet him in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, Epcot Character Spot at Epcot, around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios and Camp Minnie-Mickey at Animal Kingdom. He also appears with Pluto next to Triceratop Spin at Animal Kingdom. Be on the look out for Goofy driving the train during Main Street Electrical Parade and bustin’ a move during dance parties at Magic Kingdom.
3rd Runner Up: Donald
This grouchy little duck is still charming enough to rank in the top 5 most popular Disney characters. Our favorite places to meet him are in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom when he’s wearing his Davy Crockett outfit and Camp Minnie-Mickey at Animal Kingdom when he’s all dressed up in his safari gear. You can find a more traditional Donald Duck roaming around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios and keeping the line moving at Epcot Character Spot.
4th Runner Up: Pluto
If the Frog Family were the only ones voting, Pluto would have been at the top of the list. When Lily met him and Goofy around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios, she made sure to tell Goofy that she did not need his autograph and requested that he move out of the picture! You can meet him around Town Square at Magic Kingdom, Epcot Character Spot at Epcot, around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios and in DinoLand U.S.A. across from Triceratop Spin at Animal Kingdom.
Miss Congeniality: Minnie Mouse
Mickey’s main squeeze, Minnie, was an obvious choice for Miss Congeniality. It must be difficult to taking a back seat to Mickey all the time. (Have you ever met a more charming and supportive girlfriend?) Our favorite place to meet her is Camp Minnie-Mickey at Animal Kingdom, but a close second would be Backstage with Mickey in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom. She also makes appearances at Epcot Character Spot in Epcot and around the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios.
