I just wanted to offer a quick update today to whet your appetite about the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, my very favorite event at the Walt Disney World Resort!
And do I have a juicy morsel for you! Scotland will be making its debut at the festival. Apparently, Scottish officials were so taken with the film “Brave” that they contacted festival planners about participating in this year’s event. It’s quite fitting as just this last Saturday Merida officially became Disney’s 11th princess. While we don’t yet have menu of the food and drink options, there will be a selection of beers, meads and Scotch.
Five bands will make their debuts at the Eat to the Beat! Concert series, including the Go-Go’s, Edwin McCain, The Manhattan Transfer, Spin Doctors and Christopher Cross. (See our list of 2013 Disney Special Events for the full list of performers.)
The festival runs Sept. 27-Nov. 11, and this special event is included with regular admission.
Who’s planning on visiting the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival? Let us know when you’re going and what you’re most looking forward to seeing.
Hoppy Food & Wine Planning!
