Top 5 Reasons SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration Is So Spectacular

SeaWorld Orlando truly comes alive during its annual Christmas Celebration. The park features a ton of amazing holiday shows, attractions, and dining and shopping experiences geared toward the whole family. Each of us Frog Family members has our own favorites, but we can all agree Christmas Celebration is not to be missed!

The event is held on select nights now through December 31, and it is included with the price of admission. We put together our list of the top 5 reasons SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is so spectacular. Don’t forget to share with us below what you love most about this annual event!

5. Plenty of laughs with Clyde and Seamore

Clyde and Seamore Countdown to Christmas

The two most entertaining sea lions in the history of sea lions — Clyde Sea Lion and Seamore Sea Lion — take on the roles of Santa’s helpers, along with a few otters and walruses, who, of course, bring their own shenanigans in Countdown to Christmas. We love Clyde and Seamore anytime of year, but especially during the holidays.

4. Cozying up with Santa at the Seafire Inn

Santa's Fireside Feast

The whole family can enjoy a classic holiday all-you-can-eat feast at Seafire Inn and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus (Lily’s favorite) during Santa’s Fireside Feast. This year’s menu includes fresh greens with dried cranberries and pecans, fresh fruit, roasted turkey, honey baked ham, cornbread and cranberry stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean almandine, macaroni and cheese and holiday desserts. Picky eaters can enjoy hot dogs, chicken tenders and French fries. A complimentary family photo is included with your dining reservation.

3. The Polar Express

The Polar Express Experience

Climb aboard the Polar Express and immerse yourself in this holiday classic. Passengers will embark on their own journey as scenes from the story come to life in this fully immersive experience. Enjoy the wintery wonderland and take in the views of the amazing animals at the North Pole. Be sure to stop for a photo with Santa in front of one of the train cars for the ultimate photo op. After the journey, pick up authentic Polar Express gifts and stockings for the whole family.

2. Sea of trees

SeaWorld Orlando's Sea of Trees

Glistening along the waterfront, more than 100 Christmas trees sit atop SeaWorld’s lagoon. By day, the massive trees sparkle in the sunlight. Come nightfall, the magic begins. Several times each night, the trees come to life — 159,000 LED lights dancing along in time to Christmas carols, casting their colorful reflections on the water. It’s hard not to be moved by the trees, and I have to say, this is my favorite part of Christmas Celebration.

1. Winter Wonderland on Ice.

Winter Wonderland on Ice

The perfect end to a spectacular day at SeaWorld Orlando takes place at Bayside Stadium as a troupe of talented ice skaters takes to the stage, spinning and dancing to holiday tunes, surrounded by fountains of water dancing on the lake, bring the magic of Christmas to life. Stick around after the last ice show for Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountain Finale.

Of course, these are just our most favorite things at the Christmas Celebration. Don’t miss out on all of the festivities and shows, including O Wondrous Night, Shamu Christmas Miracles and Elmo’s Christmas Wish, a brand new show bringing together Sesame Street friends Rosita, Grover, Zoe, Cookie Monster and, of course, Elmo!
