Can you feel the love? I don’t know about you, but February is one of my favorite months because of Valentine’s Day! I love the cheesy stuffed animals, oversized helium balloon creatures, overdone flower arrangements, chocolates and kind words a plenty! I can’t imagine any place better than the most magical place on Earth to spend this day!
Today I’m sharing my top 5 romantic things to do at Disney World! Let’s get started! This is love …
1. Enjoy a quiet dinner.
An elegant dinner is a definite must for Valentine’s Day. For me, the mood for this meal won’t fit the typical Disney restaurant. You’ll have to do some advanced work to get one of the more “adult-friendly” Disney restaurants. One of my favorite spots to grab a quiet, delicious, and elegant meal is found in Epcot’s World Showcase. If you guessed Le Cellier, the delightfully delicious steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion, then you were right! With an exquisite menu, this restaurant is sure to provide a delicious dining experience for you and your honey!
Here are some of the Frog Family’s suggestions for a romantic Disney World dinner:
- Victoria & Albert’s
- Be Our Guest Restaurant @ Magic Kingdom® Park
- Narcoossee’s @ Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Artist Point @ Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Yachtsman Steakhouse @ Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Monsieur Paul @ Epcot®
- Tutto Italia @ Epcot®
- Coral Reef Restaurant @ Epcot®
- The Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck Cafe @ Downtown Disney
- The CoraNation Room at Kouzzina by Cat Cora @ Downtown Disney
2. Get close with your sweetie.
How many in your party? It’s always good when the answer is two! Especially when it means you and your sweetheart will get a little cuddle time. Let the playful spooks of the Haunted Mansion force you to hold hands, let your heart fly on Soarin’, shriek with delight on Dinosaur, and feel the thrills of Big Thunder Mountain while laughing it up with your baby. And you just can’t pass up a classic like Dumbo with your darling! Take advantage of tight quarters and get up close and personal with your Valentine!
3. Smell the roses.
Take some time to slow down and enjoy each other. This might be as simple as enjoying the live music in Disney’s Grand Floridian, a nice coffee on Main Street USA or having your portrait made in the France Pavilion at Epcot. No matter what you decide to do, taking a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds and rush of Disney is a welcome break when you are with the one you love!
Best places to slow it down by park:
4. Say yes to sharing.
There’s something about sharing food that is so romantic! Think Lady and the Tramp! At Disney World, you’ve got so many options for food that is worthy of sharing. From the decadent pastries in the France Pavilion to a plate of spaghetti from Tony’s Town Square, the options are limitless. Pick something that will create a little room for brushing knuckles, spoon sharing and perhaps kissing (you know, to get that left over ice cream off of a lip…)
(***Disclaimer: Even I draw the line at sharing Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars***)
5. Find a seat for two.
When in doubt, look for a spot to sit arm in arm with your sweetie. Find a bench near World Showcase Lagoon and watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth holding hands, rest your head on that shoulder during Fantasmic! or find a cozy spot for watching Wishes nighttime spectacular from the sandy shore along Disney’s Polynesian Resort. I say whenever, wherever, a little PDA is okay, especially at Disney World, and especially at Valentines!
I hope this little list of ideas will inspire you on this Valentine’s Day! I know I’d love to spend Valentine’s Day with in Disney World with your princess or prince charming! There’s no better place to feel the love and magic! Let us know in the comment section below what you think are the most romantic things to do at Disney World.
Until next time, keep it magical!
